Interview in its true sense is an art. The sad thing about me is that I am not an artist. My first major assignment in Dhanam was interviewing Ramdeo Agarwal (the co founder of Motilal Oswal securities limited).
He is a prominent figure in the financial services sector of this country. I was nervous at the beginning of the interview. I prepared well for the interview but didn’t get the desired flow. His answers were crisp and accurate. He was not interested in out of the box questions! Regarding ULIP he skipped that question.
The interview lasted for one hour. If I had showed some more confidence the interview would have been even better.
Lessons
I learned many lessons from the interview-you should be well prepared for the interview. Confidence level should be very high. If you interview someone don’t think about others imagine that only you two are there in the game.
I gave only pass mark for that interview. I believe that there is room for improvement!

Life is all about up and downs. I have experienced it so much. When I completed my graduation I had a dream. It was to study MBA. I approached so many banks but didn’t get a loan to pursue my ambition. From school days on wars I had a flair for writing. Then I thought why I shouldn’t go for Journalism. The main reason behind the decision was that the course was cheaper. Only hurdle was the entrance test, interview and group discussion. When I cleared it getting a loan was not that much difficult.
After completing my P.G Diploma in journalism it was 3 months of struggling, literally. Then I got a job in Mahyamam daily (Malayalam newspaper published from Calicut).  The monetary benefit was not that big so when I got another opening I switched over my job to Geojit BNP Paribas financial services. I was an executive there in it’s corporate communications department.
The main advantage of working with Geojit was that I got a chance to understand the stock market closely. After 4 months of working there I wrote my first article about Indian economy. Suddenly a door opened in front of me and I made my choice-to become a business journalist. But as always I dreamt about becoming a good one not an ordinary type. I applied in so many publications but I wasn’t selected. Finally I got a call from Dhanam business magazine. I joined there as senior reporter and I became a “pink journalist”.
I know that I don’t know much, but I will try to learn everything about business in this country. Just now I completed one month in Dhanam. I admit that it is not a very good job. But it offers great opportunities. I always believe that self excel is the only remedy for mediocrity. When you work hard success will bless you whatever way you wanted.
I am a “pink journalist” now. I will try to become a better one in the coming days. After all life is all about future, isn’t it?

തുടര്‍ച-യായ ഏഴാം ദിവസവും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സൂചികകള്‍ മികച- മുന്നേറ്റം കാഴ്‌ചവെചു. ഒരാഴ്‌ചയായി സൂചികകള്‍ നേട്ടത്തിന്റെ പാതയില്‍ തുടരുന്നതിന്റെ പ്രധാന കാരണം താഴ്‌ന്ന നിലവാരത്തില്‍ അതിന്‌ ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഇടപാടുകാരുടെ പൂര്‍ണ്ണ പിന്തുണയാണ്‌. ഈ ആഴ്‌ച ഇതുവരെ വിപണിയില്‍ കാളകളാണ്‌ ആധിപത്യം പുലര്‍ത്തിയത്‌. 5250 എന്ന അതിപ്രധാന നിലവാരം മറികടന്നാണ്‌ ദേശീയ ഓഹരി സൂചിക വ്യാപാരം അവസാനിപ്പിച-തും. തുടക്കത്തില്‍ സ്‌ഥിരത കൈവരിക്കുന്ന പ്രവണതയാണ്‌ വിപണി കാഴ്‌ചവെച-ത്‌. എന്നാല്‍ ഉച-യ്ക്ക്‌ ശേഷം യൂറോപ്യന്‍ വിപണികളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള പോസിറ്റീവ്‌ സൂചനകളെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണിയിലും മികച- നേട്ടമുണ്‌ടായി. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണിയില്‍ വ്യാപാരം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത്‌ പ്രമുഖ യൂറോപ്യന്‍ സൂചികകള്‍ നേട്ടത്തിലായിരുന്നു. അമേരിക്കന്‍, യൂറോപ്യന്‍ സൂചികകള്‍ മികച- രീതിയില്‍ നിലനില്‍ക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണിയിലും അതിന്റെ പ്രതിഫലനങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്‌ടാകും എന്നാണ്‌ പൊതുവെ വിലയിരുത്തല്‍. സെന്‍സെക്‌സ്‌ അധികം വൈകാതെ 18,000 എന്ന നിലവാരം കടക്കുമെന്നും, ഇക്കൊല്ലത്തിന്റെ രണ്‌ടാം പകുതിയില്‍ 2008ലെ ഉയര്‍ച-യെ മറികടക്കുമെന്നുമാണ്‌ പൊതുവെ സൂചനകള്‍. ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ അഭിപ്രായ ഐക്യം വന്നിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും ഇടപാടുകാരില്‍ നഷ്‌ടപ്പെട്ട ആത്മവിശ്വാസം തിരിചുകിട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്‌ട്‌ എന്ന്‌ പൊതുവെ കരുതുന്നു.
ഒരു അമേരിക്കന്‍ ബ്രോക്കിങ്ങ്‌ കമ്പനി ഐ.സി.ഐ.സി.ഐ ബാങ്കിനെതിരെ നിയമ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കാന്‍ ഇടയുണ്‌ട്‌ എന്ന വാര്‍ത്തയെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ബാങ്കിന്റെ ഓഹരിവില ഇടിഞ്ഞു. ഇതേത്തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ബാങ്കിന്റെ ഓഹരിവില മൂന്നര ശതമാനം ഇടിഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല്‍ വാര്‍ത്ത അടിസ്‌ഥാന രഹിതമാണെന്ന ബാങ്കിന്റെ വിശദീകരണം പുറത്തുവന്നതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ഓഹരി നേട്ടത്തിലാണ്‌ വ്യാപാരം നിര്‍ത്തിയത്‌. തുടര്‍ച-യായി ഒരു ലക്ഷം കോടിയിലധികം വിറ്റുവരവ്‌ കാണിക്കുന്ന സൂചികകള്‍ വ്യാഴാഴ്‌ചയും ആ പതിവ്‌ തെറ്റിച-ില്ല. 1.25 ലക്ഷം കോടിയിലധികമാണ്‌ വിപണിയിലെ വിറ്റുവരവ്‌.
153.82 പോയിന്റ്‌ ഉയര്‍ന്ന ബോംബെ ഓഹരി വിപണിയിലെ അവസാന നിരക്ക്‌ 17616.69 ആണ്‌. ഇടത്തരം, ചെറുകിട വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ അര ശതമാനം വിലക്കയറ്റം കാണിച-ു. ബോംബെ ഓഹരി വിപണിയില്‍ ആകെ വ്യാപാരം നടന്ന 2951 ഓഹരികളില്‍ 1502 എണ്ണത്തിന്റെ വിലയുയര്‍ന്നപ്പോള്‍ 1310 ഓഹരികള്‍ നഷ്‌ടത്തിലാണ്‌ വ്യാപാരം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കിയത്‌. സെന്‍സെക്‌സിലെ 23 ഓഹരികളുടെ വിലകൂടി, എ.സി.സി, ഭെല്‍, ഹീറോ ഹോണ്‌ട, യൂണിലിവര്‍, എന്‍.ടി.പി.സി, എസ്‌.ബി.ഐ, ടാറ്റ സ്‌റ്റീല്‍ എന്നിവയാണ്‌ നഷ്‌ടത്തിലായ സെന്‍സെക്‌സ്‌ ഓഹരികള്‍. 41.50 പോയിന്റ്‌ ഉയര്‍ന്ന ദേശീയ ഓഹരി സൂചികയുടെ അവസാന നിരക്ക്‌ 5274.85 ആണ്‌.
എല്ലാ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ക്കും ഇടപാടുകാരുടെ മികച- പിന്തുണ ലഭിച-ു. നേരിയ നഷ്‌ടം കാണിച- ഉപഭോഗ വസ്‌തുക്കളുടെ വിഭാഗം മാത്രമാണ്‌ വേറിട്ട്‌ നിന്നത്‌. ഒന്നര ശതമാനത്തിലധികം വിലയുയര്‍ന്ന എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ്ങ്‌ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ക്കാണ്‌ ഏറ്റവുമധികം മുന്നേറാനായത്‌. മൂന്നര ശതമാനത്തിലധികം നേട്ടത്തിലായ ലാര്‍സന്‍ ആന്റ്‌ ട്രൂബോയുടെ ഓഹരിയാണ്‌ ഏറ്റവുമധികം മുന്നേറിയത്‌.

ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണിയില്‍ മുന്നേറ്റം തുടരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ച-യായ നാലാം വ്യാപാര ദിനത്തിലാണ്‌ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സൂചികകള്‍ നേട്ടത്തിലാകുന്നത്‌. വാങ്ങല്‍ പിന്തുണ ശക്‌തമായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ദേശീയ ഓഹരി സൂചിക ഒരു മാസത്തിനിടയിലെ ഉയര്‍ന്ന നിലവാരത്തില്‍ എത്തുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. ഹെവിവെയ്‌റ്റ്‌ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ക്ക്‌ മികച- പിന്തുണ കിട്ടിയപ്പോള്‍ വ്യാപാരത്തിനിടെ നിഫ്‌റ്റി 5200 എന്ന നിലവാരം മറികടക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. വിപണിയില്‍ കാണികള്‍ കൂടുതലായി കയറുന്നുണെ്‌ടന്നാണ്‌ പൊതുവെയുള്ള വിലയിരുത്തല്‍. സൂചികകള്‍ മുന്നേറ്റം കാണിക്കുന്നത്‌ ഇതിന്റെ ‘ആഫ്‌റ്റര്‍ ഇഫക്‌ടാണ്‌’. 5200 എന്ന നിലവാരത്തില്‍ തുടരാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലെങ്കിലും നിഫ്‌റ്റി അതിന്‌ തൊട്ട്‌ താഴെയാണ്‌ വ്യാപാരം നിര്‍ത്തിയത്‌. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഒരു മാസം ദേശീയ ഓഹരി സൂചികയില്‍ 4900–5120 പരിധിയിലായിരുന്നു വ്യാപാരം. യൂറോപ്പില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള സൂചനകള്‍ മോശമായില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണിയില്‍ കാളയോട്ടം (ബുള്‍ റണ്‍) പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാമെന്ന്‌ വിശകലന വിദഗ്‌ദര്‍ വിലയിരുത്തുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണി ക്ലോസ്‌ ചെയ-ുമ്പോള്‍ യൂറോപ്യന്‍ സൂചികകള്‍ അര ശതമാനം മുതല്‍ രണ്‌ട്‌ ശതമാനം വരെ നേട്ടത്തിലായിരുന്നു. അമേരിക്കന്‍ വിപണികള്‍ അവധി വ്യാപാരത്തില്‍ മുന്നേറ്റം കാണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌തിരുന്നു. റിലയന്‍സിന്റെ മിക്കവാറും എല്ലാ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ക്കും മുന്നേറ്റം കാണിക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞു.
ബോംബെ ഓഹരി സൂചിക 17300 എന്ന നിലവാരം മറികടന്നാണ്‌ ക്ലോസ്‌ ചെയ്‌തത്‌. 17119–17351 പരിധിയിലായിരുന്നു സെന്‍സെക്‌സിലെ വ്യാപാരം. ഹെല്‍ത്ത്‌ കെയര്‍ വിഭാഗം ഒഴികെ ബാക്കി എല്ലാ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ക്കും ഇടപാടുകാരുടെ പിന്തുണ ലഭിച-പ്പോള്‍ സെന്‍സെക്‌സ്‌ ഒന്നര ശതമാനത്തിലധികം മുന്നേറ്റം കാണിച-ു. ചെറുകിട വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ 1.30 ശതമാനവും, ഇടത്തരം വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ ഒരു ശതമാനവും നഷ്‌ടത്തിലായി. ബോംബെ ഓഹരി വിപണിയില്‍ ആകെ വ്യാപാരം നടന്ന 2966 ഓഹരികളില്‍ 1875 എണ്ണത്തിന്റെ വിലയുയര്‍ന്നപ്പോള്‍ 971 ഓഹരികള്‍ നഷ്‌ടത്തിലായി. സെന്‍സെക്‌സിലെ 25 ഓഹരികള്‍ക്ക്‌ ഇടപാടുകാരുടെ പിന്തുണ ലഭിച-ു, ഭാരതി എയര്‍ടെല്‍, ഭെല്‍, ഹീറോ ഹോണ്‌ട, മാരുതി, ടാറ്റ മോട്ടോഴ്സ്‌ എന്നിവയാണ്‌ നഷ്‌ടത്തിലായ സെന്‍സെക്‌സ്‌ ഓഹരികള്‍. 78.35 പോയിന്റ്‌ ഉയര്‍ന്ന ദേശീയ ഓഹരി സൂചികയിലെ ക്ലോസിങ്ങ്‌ നിരക്ക്‌ 5197.70 ആണ്‌. മെയ്‌ മാസത്തിലെ നാണയപ്പെരുപ്പ നിരക്ക്‌ രണ്‌ടക്കത്തിലേക്ക്‌ ഉയര്‍ന്നത്‌ ആശങ്കയ്ക്ക്‌ ഇടനല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്‌ട്‌, എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ക്ക്‌ വിപണി കാതോര്‍ക്കുന്നത്‌ കുറവായതിനാല്‍ വാര്‍ത്ത അത്രവലിയ സ്വാധീനം ചെലുത്തുമെന്ന്‌ പറയാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല.
മൂന്നര ശതമാനത്തിലധികം വിലയുയര്‍ന്ന ഐ.ടി വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികളാണ്‌ ഏറ്റവുമധികം മുന്നേറ്റം കാണിച-ത്‌. മിക്ക വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികളും ഒരു ശതമാനത്തിലധികം വിലയുയര്‍ന്നാണ്‌ ക്ലോസ്‌ ചെയ്‌തത്‌. ഏഴ്‌ ശതമാനത്തിനടുത്ത്‌ വിലയുയര്‍ന്ന റിലയന്‍സ്‌ പവറിന്റെ ഓഹരിയാണ്‌ ഏറ്റവും മുന്നേറിയത്‌. റിലയന്‍സ്‌ ക്യാപ്പിറ്റല്‍, ഇന്‍ഫോസിസ്‌ എന്നിവയും നേട്ടത്തിലായി. 273.22 പോയിന്റ്‌ ഉയര്‍ന്ന സെന്‍സെക്‌സിലെ അവസാന നിരക്ക്‌ 17338.17 ആണ്‌.

The greatest show on earth has begun. FIFA worldcup 2010 started in Johhannasburg in South Africa. World has shrinked to ‘Jabulani”. Now one month of complete football. Defending champions Italy, european champions Spain, confederations cup winners Brazil, all time favourite Argentina, football god Maradona all are ready. We can hear the song of ‘Vavusela’ all around Africa. It is the voice of hope and victory. Cape of good hope was a word of relief in the history of mankind. Now for the first time an African nation hosts the FIFA world cup. 100 crore people, 55 nations Africa is huge… Worldcup will bring hope and unity in Africa, lets hope so
South Africa is the country of Nelson Mandela. One of the greatest figures in history. It was also the classroom of Gandhi. Now under the leadership of Jacob Suma they are moving forward…
Imperialism had left many wounds in Africa. This time their past masters going to visit them, and going to fight against them. This is indeed a great thing to watch. The Latin American nations also had revenge. They consider  the playground as war field.
Truly football is the greatest game on earth. Brazil is my favorite team. But I admire the way Argentina plays…it is a sight to watch.
I would like to write small analysis of the games I watch on a regular basis, this is how I celebrate this worldcup. I want to buy one Brazil jersey too

തുടര്‍ച-യായ രണ്‌ടാം ദിവസവും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സൂചികകള്‍ നേട്ടത്തില്‍ വ്യാപാരം അവസാനിപ്പിച-ു. ആഗോള വിപണികളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള സൂചനകള്‍ അനുകൂലമായതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ഇടപാടുകാരില്‍ ആത്മവിശ്വാസം കൂടിയിട്ടുണ്‌ട്‌. ഈ ആഴ്‌ചയില്‍ ആദ്യമായി 17,000 എന്ന നിലവാരം മറികടന്ന്‌ ബോംബെ ഓഹരി സൂചിക വ്യാപാരം അവസാനിപ്പിച-ു. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ അനുകൂല വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ ഒരുപാട്‌ ഉണ്‌ടായതും വിപണിയെ സ്വാധീനിച- ഘടകമാണ്‌. ഏപ്രില്‍ മാസത്തെ രാജ്യത്തെ വ്യാവസായിക ഉല്‍പാദന സൂചിക പ്രതീക്ഷിച-തിലും മികച-തായതാണ്‌ വിപണിയില്‍ നേട്ടത്തിന്‌ കാരണമായ പ്രധാന വാര്‍ത്ത. 17.6 ശതമാനമാണ്‌ നിലവില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വ്യാവസായിക ഉല്‍പാദന സൂചിക നിരക്ക്‌. തൊട്ട്‌ മുമ്പത്തെ ആഴ്‌ച ഇത്‌ 13.5 ശതമാനമായിരുന്നു. നിര്‍മ്മാണ മേഖലയില്‍ രാജ്യം കുതിപ്പിലാണ്‌ എന്നത്‌ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഇടപാടുകാരില്‍ ആഹ്ലാദം നിറച-ു. ആഗോള തലത്തില്‍ അമേരിക്കന്‍ സൂചിക വിലയുയര്‍ച- രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയാണ്‌ ക്ലോസ്‌ ചെയ്‌തത്‌. യൂറോപ്യന്‍, ഏഷ്യന്‍ സൂചികകളിലും വാങ്ങല്‍ പിന്തുണ ദൃശ്യമായി. മികച- ഒരു ആഴ്‌ചയാണ്‌ കടന്നുപോകുന്നത്‌. യൂറോപ്യന്‍ പ്രതിസന്ധിയെ സംബന്ധിച- വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ ഏതാണ്‌ട്‌ അടങ്ങിയതും വിപണിയില്‍ മുന്നേറ്റത്തിന്‌ കാരണമായി. വിപണിയിലെ വിറ്റുവരവ്‌ ഒരു ലക്ഷം കോടി കടക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌തു.
മുകേഷ്‌ അംബാനിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള റിലയന്‍സ്‌ ടെലികോം മേഖലയിലേക്ക്‌ കടക്കുമെന്ന വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ക്ക്‌ അറുതിയായി. കമ്പനി ഇന്‍ഫോടെല്‍ ബ്രോഡ്‌ബാന്റ്‌ എന്ന കമ്പനിയില്‍ 95 ശതമാനം ഓഹരികള്‍ കൈവശമാക്കിയതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണിത്‌. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ടെലികോം മേഖലയില്‍ മറ്റൊരു വമ്പന്‍ മാറ്റത്തിന്‌ ഈ വാര്‍ത്ത വഴിവെയ്ക്കുമെന്ന്‌ കരുതുന്നു. വ്യാപാരത്തിനിടെ 17132 വരെ ഉയര്‍ന്ന സെന്‍സെക്‌സ്‌ 142.87 പോയിന്റ്‌ നേട്ടത്തില്‍ 17064.95ലാണ്‌ വ്യാപാരം നിര്‍ത്തിയത്‌. ചെറുകിട വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ അര ശതമാനം വിലയുയര്‍ച- കാണിച-ു. ഇടത്തരം വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികളുടെ വില 0.28 ശതമാനം കൂടി. വിവിധ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികളില്‍ സമ്മിശ്ര പ്രതികരണമായിരുന്നു. ബോംബെ ഓഹരി വിപണിയില്‍ ആകെ വ്യാപാരം നടന്ന 2967 ഓഹരികളില്‍ 1531 എണ്ണത്തിന്റെ വിലകൂടിയപ്പോള്‍, 1311 ഓഹരികളുടെ വിലയിടിഞ്ഞു. സെന്‍സെക്‌സിലെ 21 ഓഹരികളുടെ വിലകൂടി. എ.സി.സി, എയര്‍ടെല്‍, ഡി.എല്‍.എഫ്‌, ഇന്‍ഫോസിസ്‌, എന്‍.ടി.പി.സി, ഒ.എന്‍.ജി.സി, റിലയന്‍സ്‌ കമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷന്‍സ്‌, റിലയന്‍സ്‌ ഇന്‍ഫ്ര, സ്‌റ്റെര്‍ലൈറ്റ്‌ എന്നിവ നഷ്‌ടത്തിലാണ്‌ കച-വടം നിര്‍ത്തിയത്‌. 40.75 പോയിന്റ്‌ ഉയര്‍ന്ന നിഫ്‌റ്റിയിലെ ക്ലോസിങ്ങ്‌ നിരക്ക്‌ 5119.35 ആണ്‌.
ഒന്നര ശതമാനത്തിലധികം വിലയുയര്‍ന്ന ഓയില്‍ ആന്റ്‌ ഗ്യാസ്‌ വിഭാഗമാണ്‌ ഏറ്റവുമധികം മുന്നേറ്റം കാണിച-ത്‌. ബാങ്കിങ്ങ്‌, എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ്ങ്‌ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികളുടെ വില ഒരു ശതമാനത്തിലധികം കൂടി. അര ശതമാനം നഷ്‌ടത്തിലായ ഹെല്‍ത്ത്‌ കെയര്‍ വിഭാഗം ഓഹരികള്‍ക്കാണ്‌ ഏറ്റവുമധികം വില്‍പന സമ്മര്‍ദ്ദം നേരിട്ടത്‌.
