A shoe named revolution

May 7th, 2010 | 4 Comments | Posted in Poems

Night enters through the spread legs of the day!
Your color is white
I am black
We together dissolve in red,
Red is the color of revolution
(Should I say R for revolution)

Horses are coming
Not one or two
But millions of them
The are painted with blood
Blood of innocent men and women
All asked for their rights
But their lives had been eaten by bullets
Justice became more blind

We talked about freedom and equality
They said we are equal
Yet they are living their dreams
We continue our dreaming
Our empty bellies cry for food
Our eyes became blind because of hungry
We don’t have clothes
We sleep on slabs in the dark city

This is the time
(Not time, but beyond time)
We have to come forward and hit
We will gather in streets
Below the sky of inequality
We will gather before the gates of government
Below the sky of slavery
And we will sow hope
And will lit smiles in the faces of women and children

We will wear the shoe named revolution
With that we together will walk to a new life
