LinkedIn has now 40 lakh members in India
LinkedIn in it’s communication revealed that they have now 40 lakhs members in India only. LinkedIn is the most popular professional networking website in the world. They have 55 million members worldwide. Their main competitor in the world is Facebook another social networking site. Recently LinkedIn India cleared that their way of working is different from Facebook’s.
Social Networking is on it’s way to boom in India, especially professional networking. LinkedIn suits the very requirement well. In it’s communication LinkedIn team made it clear that it’s only just a beginning. India’s job searching scenario is changing drastically. Earlier it was only newspapers. Then came the dot.com revolution. Now the revolution is through social networking. Twitter, another internet sensation also has strong roots in India and is growing like nothing.
Indian professionals, especially those who have exposure to the net, regularly visit social networking sites. This is as a habit now, hence India becomes the hot market for twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. The motto of these sites are first popularity then only money. Mark Zuckerberg thought it right. Then all others are following.
