Internet and Middle East
Recently Bayt.com (middle east’s no.1 job site- as they are claiming) published a survey regarding the usage of internet in the middle east. The survey found the internet crowd population in the middleeast increasing drastically.People in the middle east uses internet primarily for checking their mails. Their second priority was reading the news, then they surf for better job opportunities. Social networking has not found it’s root in the middle east like india.Majority of the professionals access internet form their homes. Majority of the internet users claims that they know how to use internet but they agrees that sometimes help is needed.
I have some statistics. The internet using population in the world is only 130 crore. According to UN prediction world population would cross 900 crore mark by 2050 ie, 40 years from now. Then internet will be the most powerful medium of communication. 70 percent responenets to the survey said that their contact is more online than offline. This gives hints to the new revolution social networking revolution across the globe. Internet would be the key in the future for communication. Social networking is the new trend in the developing countries and it’s here to stay.
